I have to be really careful here. I did not set out with the intention of visiting this site, but Imust have taken a wildly wrong turn and ended up here. Was someone trying to tell me something?

If this well was ever a pagan place then you would never know it. At the entrance to the extremely well tended woodland grove that houses the well is an aluminium car trailer with (I think) a St. Brigit (formerly the Celtic goddess Brigid and often associated with water) surrounded by flowers.

The well is now walled in and surrounded by what I presume are stations for the pattern day. On the hillside above is a Marian shrine and a white marble crucifix.
