This alignment of six stones does not threaten the big boys such as Castlelanaght (County Cork) or Garrane (County Cork), but it is nevertheless a nice site. It is aligned roughly northeast to southwest and overlooks a small lough to the southwest from its vantage point on a low rise.
The row gives the impression of having tampered with because of the uneven heights of the stones. The three main ones rise nicely in height, but the pattern is lost when the others are considered.
I actually ended up here by mistake. I took the wrong turn at a cross roads (I shouldn't have actually turned at all) and when I consulted the map I saw I was right next to it. Then I noticed that there was a kissing-gate into the field, so I investigated. I am very pleased that I did, because it's a lovely place.
