Visit Notes

This mighty double bullaun is a treat. It appears to be used as a water trough for the cattle now and it can certainly hold some water. The double bullauns are nearly joined in one big slot and must be 20 cms deep.

The stone stands just over the hedge from the track and is fairly tricky to see.

Check out the nearby cross.

As you can see from the photos from my first visit here I hadn't really seen this stone properly, but had only seen it through the hedgerow. This time I went into the field to take a proper look. The boulder that these two large bullauns are cut into is proportionally large and very impressive. The stone has almost certainly been uprooted and moved to its current field-edge location.
