Located at the bottom of a gentle east facing slope, in a glade set aside from the fields lie three bullaun stones of which this is the central and main one. They form a line that runs N-S and points straight at the hillfort and cairns of the Brusselstown ring.
The rock is an earthfast boulder around 1.6m long with a flat top. into this are set three very large bullauns the largest of which is 40cm across. The other two are both around 35cm. The southmost one breaks the side of the stone slightly, but all three still hold water.
5m away there is another boulder, which looks like it was cleaved from the side of this main one and seems to be upside down, This may have further bullauns on the underside.

Drive south from Donard and take the first right-hand fork. After approximately 2kms you will emerge from a wood. Shortly after this is a farmhouse on the right. Ask here if you can visit the stones, which are down the hill directly opposite.
