In the next field to the inauguration mound stands a stone. This is a tall, squarish stone and was once one of a pair. It is said to have played a part in the inaugral cermonies of the Kings here.
Embedded in the stone is a reddish block of stone. A depression in the top holds water. The King is said to have washed here before or during the ceremony, using the red stone as a soap.
On my visit access to this stone was no possible, due to the fast flow of th e stream and it being too cold for me to look for other ways to get to it, but I'll be back.
