Everyone says that this is big ... well they're wrong! It's MASSIVE !!!!!!
I couldn't believe the size of it when I saw it from the road and as I approached it just got bigger and bigger. It is easily as big as Cairn B at Loughcrew - Newtown (County Meath) and nearly as big as Dowth (County Meath). I walked around it, sadly county my paces .. 225! That makes it around 70m in diameter and it is easily 10m high or more.
The kerb, where it shows, is made of enormous stones. The actual cairn has been attacked and robbed away in sections, but even the great dents in it have not reduced its presence by much.
There is much speculation as to whether there is a passage tomb inside or not. I think, given its location, there simply must be. I certainly hope there is.

We just did a driveby today to show Uta, my partner, the vastness of this monster pile of rocks. It's amazing to see it tower over the bungalow in front of it.
