Visit Notes

A wall has been built around this tomb, but unusually it is transverse to the wall and the (now open) back faces onto the farm track, while the closed front is in the adjoining field. There is evidence of a small portico to the front, where the side stones jut out in front of the septal slab that forms the door. The tomb is NE/SW aligned with the entrance at the southwest.

The gallery is very interesting because not only does it retain its roof, but the slabs forming the northernmost wall are considerably lower than those on the south, meaning there is extensive use of chock stones to make the roof level.
