Visit Notes

Saturday, 26th October 2002

Of all the monuments I managed to find on the hill this one is the largest. All the walls, apart from one half of the frontage, are present, but only 1m of the roof is covered.

The gallery is 4m long and 2m wide. Like most of the Burren tombs the side walls are made of single slabs.

After I left this one I tried to find a few of the others, got totally lost and ended up rejoining the road 3kms from my car. It was at this moment that the heavens opened up in an almighty deluge! Great stuff.
