This is one of those circles that I have been meaning to stop off at for some time as quite a few journeys have taken me quite close. Today I was not really anywhere near it and so why I decided to pop by is a mystery really - perhaps I knew there would be another angry bull in the field!

The ruined circle encompasses a raised dias just under 1m high. There are only about 10 stones still present, many of which have fallen. The overall diameter is probably 25-30m.

It is very close to a busy road and so scores zero for ambience and its delapidated state detracts further from its appeal.

My journey took me close to Granard, so I thought I'd best drive past this site and see if it was cow-infested again. It wasn't! Fanstatic. This tine I could actually check it out properly.

When you get close up it's not as bad as it looks from a distance. The circle is by no means perfect, far from it in fact, but it's still got still something about it. The best section is on the west side where the stones are still standing. On the south side the stone have fallen and there is a large gap around the northeast section. Here there is a pile of boulders, presumably field clearance.

Running away from the circle on the southern side there appears to be a row of stones. When I saw the first one I thought it was an outlier, but then I spotted a second one 5m further away, then I saw a third some 30m+ from the circle.
