Being just 1km north east of the fantastic double court tomb at Cohaw this double court tomb, described as good in the Archaeological Inventory, held great promise. The reality is a different story though. I actually only knew that I had found it because it has a Fogra sign. Near to this are four or five court stones, just in front of the gorse ridden mound that contains the galleries.
The surrounding area is littered with building debris, which is, no doubt, from the house and stables that are just 300m away. This site really saddened me and drove home just how badly treated these ancient monuments can be.
I have reported the appalling state of the tomb to Duchas.
