| St. Patrick's Cross - Rock Of Cashel - High Cross |
The cathedral that is so beautifully prominant as you drive into Cashel stands on a large rock outcrop that was indeed once the site of a cashel or stone fort.
This is a pay to enter site, but the prices are resonable. Once inside there are guided tours and an audio-visual display available included in the entrance fee.
The views alone make the place worth visiting, but the archetcture is very good. There is a small museum and a small shop that only sells leaflets about the site. This non-commercialising of the place was good to see.
