This looks like a great place (from the road). It is clearly supposed to be accessible as there is a sign on the top presumably giving some history of the site. Unfortunately, the field has an electric fence around it, stopping any one getting near it. There is a low bank with a deep ditch surrounding the central mound. This truly is a magnificent specimen of a ring fort.
Take the N2 North from Dublin and then turn onto the R153 heading west. Take the second right after the junction with the R150 and then take the first left. The ring fort is bout 1.2km along nestled amongst some bungalows.
