This is an odd wayside cross. It was erected by the O'Connors in 1639 as a wayside cross for people travelling to Dysart church.
The cross head bears an inscription to the above effect, but the shaft is very odd. It seems to portray an arm holding a hurley stick and another odd symbol that looks to me like a Christmas tree.
