The head of this cross is damaged to the effect that the arms, top and ring are all but missing. The carving is visible, but a little worn.
The cross was moved to its current location and positioned on the wrong orientation so that the east face now looks to the south.
The east face of the head has a nice crucifixion and the obverse a very nice Adam and Eve. The rest of this 3m tall cross is given over to geometric patterns.
The inscription on the cross have associated its erection with the high king Maelsechniall who died in 862ce.
