Sunday, 14th October 2001

On the map there is an earth work shown around the base of the hill, but it certainly isn't discernible near the car park or around to the south. I think the path that goes around the base of the hill from the car park may be on top of the bank. From the car park there are many paths through the woods and it is so nice to see a deciduous wood for a change. This spot is ideal for a Sunday walk but not for seeing a hill fort. Still it is a beautiful spot.

Follow the N11 from Dublin and take the R762. Take the first left and after about 1.5 km you will see the Kindlestown Woods car park.
