At last! Back to the megalithic! The days majority of ecclesiastical sites was rubbing a little thin with the decline of the standard of the crosses we were finding and so it was very good to get back to something else.
This wedge retains its cairn to the height of the tops of the wall slabs, but the chamber is filled in. This gives a first impression that it has collapsed, but closer inspection reveals the truth.
The very impressive roof slabs have been slipped to one side adding to the collapsed appearance. These capstone are amazing, consisting of some amazingly constituted sedimentary rock.
Once again, early man's ability to pick a location hits you here. The most prominent landscape feature is the Rock of Curry to the north west.
