This is the first Holy Well that I have decided to visit. A quite stream side location next to a bridge. I think the road here is very old and so this site was a place where travelers would have made offering to the water as they crossed. Later Christianisation of this much earlier holy place followed, as usual.

_From Enniskerry take the R760 Take the second right passed Long Hill. The bridge is just after the first left hand turn.
