Visit Notes

Sunday, 14th October 2001

This is the first Holy Well that I have decided to visit. A quite stream side location next to a bridge. I think the road here is very old and so this site was a place where travelers would have made offering to the water as they crossed. Later Christianisation of this much earlier holy place followed, as usual.

I revisited this site while passing to re-take the photographs which turned out very dark the first time.
