This is the first Holy Well that I have decided to visit. A quite stream side location next to a bridge. I think the road here is very old and so this site was a place where travelers would have made offering to the water as they crossed. Later Christianisation of this much earlier holy place followed, as usual.
I revisited this site while passing to re-take the photographs which turned out very dark the first time.
From Enniskerry take the R760 Take the second right passed Long Hill. The bridge is just after the first left hand turn.
