Visit Notes

Monday, 3rd June 2002

Cruicetown church is now under state ownership and seems to have quite a history. It was altered in 1688 when the cross was erected and the memorial with effigies added inside. In the church ruins are various font bits and mouldings.

The 1.9m tall cross is most odd and quite unique. One side shows the crucifixion and the other an odd carving of Mary and the baby Jesus. The top of both side has a winged head.
