These two stones could be part of a longer alignment, now gone, but I don't think so. The sizes and shapes indicate another pairing of male and female stones. I was ill this day and at about 4 o'clock could not stand being in the house any longer, I needed to be with my stones on this gloriously sunny autumnal day. I reached these stones and first of all looked for the cairn close by marked at O 211 960, but alas it is no longer there. The stones align east-west and point straight to the local church, making me wonder what else stood upon that spot all those years ago. What ancient site did the Christians take for their own?
The stones stand about 2m apart, just enough room for me to lie between them, which is what I did. I put my feet against the male and reached above my head to take hold of the female. I would love to say a fierce energy flowed through, but it did not. What I did get though was a feeling of total calm, my aches and pains left me, so I moved on.
If it wasn't so close to civilisation these stones would be among the greats, despite their simplicity.

_From Laragh head south on the R755 and take the first left. Continue until you reach a really confusing, five road junction and turn left again. Follow this road to the t-junction. Park outside the church and walk south east. The stones lie in a field on the left.
