I have read a lot of the finds on Topped mountain but knew that there is not much to see here. The cairn is massive, some 20m in diameter and 4m high. The top shows the scars of the excavations with dents and hollows.
We were up here late in the evening with the light fading fast and were treated to a fantastic 360 degree view of the plains below. This spot was definitely picked for this reason.
It's a nice walk up here and the views are adequate reward.
