This huge and very impressive stone stands 3.5m tall behind a farm building 350m NNE of Grange Lios stone circle. It is 1.5m broad and at least 1m deep. The west face appears to have been worked flat, almost concave while the rear is very rounded. Sadly it now leans to the east which does remove some of its dominating presence.
It stands to the east of an ancient sunken track way that runs north-south past it and the foundations of several hut sites and old field boundaries.
The cows in the field seemed to take exception to our presence and chased us out through the gate. What a lovely experience that was for our kids!

From Bruff take the R512 north. 1km past the first crossroads you go through you will see a little car park on the right and a sign pointing to the Grange Lios circle. Walk to the rear of the circle, through the gate and then through the gap into the next field. On the far side you will see some farm buildings. The Pillar Stone is behind these.
