Just 3m inside the gate, diadonally to your left as you enter, you can find a very fine 11th century Clonmacnois style cross slab. The very fine carving of this slab faces away from the gate.
Also facing away from the gate is a taller, more slender slab about 80cm high. This has a very unusual cross carved on it with a square boss and square terminals on a slender cross.
