This stone offers little It is a large slab like thing sitting in the middle of a field and appears to grow from a tuft of brambles.
I am not sure that this was originally just a standing stone because it is of a size and shape normally found as part of a tomb. It is maybe 1.7m tall and 90cm wide.

I thought I'd stop and take a quick look over the hedge to see if this stone was any more accessible. The route into the field is via the nearby farmyard and I didn't have enough time to ask, so I made do with just looking from the road.
This time around the stone was free of the clump of brambles and nettles. I'd expected to see it completely covered.

From Waterford take the N25 west and then the R681 south. After about 400m you will come to a left hand bend in the road. The stone is just before this on the left.
