Visit Notes

Friday, 29th March 2002

Once again an electric fence does more than keep the sheep in the field, it keeps me out too.

This stone seems to be about 1.7m tall and slab like, oriented east-west. It is very nicely situated on the brow of a ridge.

Directions

From Tullow take the N81 for about 5.5km until you reach a cross roads and turn left. Continue for a little over 1km until you reach a fork in the road with a large triangle of land in the center of the junction. To the left you will see a farm track, drive up this and stop at the farm yard. Ask at the lower house to visit the stone. Continue on foot up the track for until you pass the last farm building and the stone is on the ridge to the right.
