Another of the Carlow grooved stones. This one, however, is quite different to the others because it is almost slab-like. It is wider North-south.
It stands over 2m tall and has grooves around its top on the west face, which are not visible from the road. It is 80cm wide and 30cm thick. It is possible that the stone once stood taller than it is now.

From Baltinglass take the N81 south and pass through Rathvilly until you reach the R727. Turn left and head east for 600m to the first cross roads and turn right. After just 450m you will pass a farmyard. The stone is in the next field along and visible from the road.
