This wedge tomb is still currently covered by it's mound with just a few little pieces of stone poking through. Because of much development in the area the archaeologists are currently excavating the land all around leaving it perforated with rectangular pits.
The mound is about 1.3m high, 8m long and perhaps 4m wide with an east-west orientation.

_I worry about the future of this site. The M50 spur to Cherrywood is just 30m from it and the land around it seems to be being prepared for building yet another industrial estate or business park.
Worse still is the current state of the monument. Presumably to 'protect' it during the building work that is about to surround it a small wire fence has been erected very close to the tomb itself. Around this a large number of red and white metal barrels have been placed in another protective ring. Around this (as if this wasn't protection enough) there is a wooden fence. The ground within the wooden fence looks terrible and to one side of the tomb there is a water-filled hole.
I worry about the future of this site.

_From Kiltiernan take the road opposite the Golden Ball to Carrickmines until you reach a crossroads. Turn right and take the first right after the sharp bend signed Tully Church And Cross. Follow this road and continue passed the cross and church. The road takes a sharp right shortly after. Park here and continue in a straight line from the road (before the bend) across the field for 325m.
