At last! I've found this stone and can't really believe that I didn't manage to find it the last time I tried. It is in a very obvious clearing right next to the track through the woods.
The stone is 1.6m tall and has small grooves running down from the top, as do many Carlow standing stones. Near to the stone is a large thorn tree, making the clearing rather picturesque. The edge of this clearing is defined by a circular enclosure that has a modern(ish) wall running around one side of it.
