I had heard of this site on many occasions, but I was starting to think it didn't really exist, because noone could tell me where it was. Then, recently, Marianne left rough directions in my Guestbook, so I had to check it out for myself while I was down here.
This is truly a spectacular monument! There is a narrow court leading into a two-chambered gallery. The two chambers are separated by a full wall of limestone slabs.
Court tombs usually have large, chunky entrance stones flanking the entrance from court to gallery. This isn't possible with limestone slabs, so the builders created boxes to give the appearance of a chunkier structure.
The small, trapezoidal cairn is still present to the height of the gallery. There are some unusual labs stood on their edge that run through the cairn in seemingly random directions.
To reach the monument head down the hill from the main roadside Parknabinnia tomb directly away from the road until you come to a wall that blocks your way. Walk along this wall to the left and lookout for where a path crosses it. Looking through the gap you should see a clearing with a large boulder in the middle of it. Go through this clearing into the field beyond. Once into this field turn to the right and follow the hedgerow. You can't miss the tomb.
