| Burren - Rock Art |
This one was rediscovered quite recently when a thick layer of peat was removed from the top of the stone.
The flat-topped boulder is an eratic that stands on a plynth of limestone. Towards one end of the upper surface there is a massive, single cup-and-ring motif. This seems to be an enhanced natural depression and is rather unusual in Ireland. The scale of the depression/carving is verging on a decorated bullaun!
