This rath is quite near to the east car park to the Cave Hill Country Park and not too far away from a landfill tip.

The banks are well defined and stand over 1m high and have an impressive 50m diameter. On the eastern edge there is what appears to be the foundations of a rectangular building - which must be a later addition, perhaps a farmhouse that took advantage of the enclosure to mark out its back garden.
