Visit Notes

Sunday, 11th November 2007

The grid reference for this site is approximate. On the way out of the valley after visiting Cloghoge (County Wicklow) bullaun stone I sat down on a boulder to take a breather and enjoy the scenery. I spotted two herds of deer in the valley bottom and sat enthralled by them. Then I noticed one of the herds was standing on a raised mound that definitely has a round edge defined by stones, presumably a kerb.

Judging from the relative size of the deer I estimate the cairn (if it is one) to be about 20m in diameter.
