Visit Notes

Sunday, 27th January 2002

This was a stop that I hadn't planned, but I saw I was passing and thought 'why not?' The motte is about 4m tall and one of the largest I have seen, probably 40m in diameter.

Directions

Follow the N2 north from Ashbourne and take the first left after the junction with the R152 (about 3km north). After a little over 1km take the left fork and then turn left at the t-junction. After just 30m there is a lane to the right. The motte is straight in front of you at this junction.
