When I noticed this site marked on the OS map I wasn't sure if I'd find it. Near to the words Bullaun Stone there is also Bishop's House and Bawn with a cross next to it, but there is no cross to indicate where the bullaun might be. I hoped it was at the same site as the Bishop's House and it is.
However, this is probably the most mucked-about-with bullaun I have ever visited. The stone the basin is carved into has been squared off and its bottom made flat. It is now mounted on a sqare-sectioned brick pedastal about 1.2m tall, between two grave slabs. Quite undignified. The basin is 20cm in diameter and hemi-spherical.
