By the time I drove past this monument it was starting to drizzle. I had hoped to hunt out the rock art a couple of hundred metres away, but abandoned that plan.
Two out of the original three stones of this row still stand. The tallest has fallen and would have easily stood 2.5m high. The alignment is east-west and the stones rise in height with the lowest stone to the east. In that direction a rocky slope rises up, but the views to the are extensive. To the northwest is Knockadobar Mountain and to the southwest is Aghatubride Mountain. Been Hill and Teermoyle Mountain rise up to the east.
The area around this monument is littered with standing stones, stone rows and rock art. There is also a tomb on the slopes above it. I think you could spend two days just looking around here.
