This is another massive panel. It is nearly 3m across and over 2.5m deep. The top of the stone slopes to the west, so when you look at the carved surface you also look directly at the mountain pass to the east.

The carvings are grouped towards the southern end of the panel. There are many cup-and-ring motifs and a lot of single cup marks. Unfortunately, the panel is covered in white lichen, which makes it almost impossible to get any contrast on photographs. I'm not even sure that Ken William's amazing side flash technique will make these carvings stand out.

Visiting this stone again made me realise how lucky I was to see it the first time around. The markings really are faint.

This time I was able to use my flash setup to better advantage and capture some of the markings, although I still haven't got the technique right with them. Oh well, I'll just have to visit more panels and practice!
