Visit Notes

Sunday, 10th June 2007

These two stones stand about 15m apart. This would point to there once being others here that formed a row, rather than a stone pair. The tallest stone is large and square in cross section, with straight-looking side. I couldn't actually get right up to the stones, because the cows in the fields had young calves and I didn't want to disturb them.

The two stones are of roughly equal size, about 1.8m tall (using a cow as a remote measuring stick.) They stand on the top of a ridge, but heavy farming and high trees around the site block out all the views.
