I had read that there were two bullaun stones at Templerushin church, but I could only find the one. This may be because the grass had recently been cut and the long clippings could have been hiding a second stone quite easily. Maybe the second is outside of the walled graveyard - if anyone knows where it is please let me know.

The one I found is about 5m to the east of the 10th Century church. The earthfast boulder is an odd shape. It is long and thin with a fatter bit at one end. This is where the single bullaun is situated. The bullaun is quite small, just 20cm across and 10cm deep.

The site overlooks a stream to the east that issues from the nearby holy well.
