There are a lot of hut sites throughout the woods here, but I have chosen to make a note of this one not because it's anything special, but because of an unusual feature about 15m away from it.
The hut site itself is a bit difficult to see beneath the dark tree canopy. I only found it because there's a white sign nailed to a tree in its centre.
The unusual feature is a large, thick slab of rock that has defitely been raised up on smaller stones. Is this a boulder burial? or even a trashed wedge tomb? or just a feak natural arrangement?
