It doesn't matter that this mound is very denuded, because its location poses so many questions. It is situated on the top of a drumlin-like hillock on the west side of the R132 where it passes Balrothery. On the opposite side of the road there is Balrothery Church, which is built on the top of a similar hillock.

Was the church built on the site of another pre-christian site that mirrored the mound?

All that is left of the mound is a low bump that is no more than 1m high.
