This is a nice standing stone. Shame it's right on the roadside! It stands an impressive 2.2m tall and was obviously used by travellers as a way marker as several meet here.
The stone must be closely associated with the nearby barrow as a line from this stone through the centre of the barrow passes over a stone set into its perimeter and on towards a prominent vally to the southeast.
