Just across the road from the henge at Shevry (County Tipperary) is this mound. The ground around it is saturated making approach very interesting indeed. I couldn't actually get right up to it, but I could see that it is about 2m tall, round and flat topped. It was probably a viewing platform associated with the henge. Due west of the site two hills form a lovely V shape, where perhaps equinox sunsets could be observed.
