Like most sweathouses this one is quite hard to find, but once you know how it's not that bad. If you walk along the farm track to where the overhead cables cross it and then head perpendicular down the field to the stream you reach a path along its banks in the trees. Follow this path along the stream until you see four large boulder in the water. The sweathouse in in the bank by these, but it is very hard to see!
Moss and gorse bushes try to hide the sweathouse and have almost completed the job. I only spotted it because of the hole where the front has collapsed in above the doorway. The top of the roof has also fallen in.
Peering inside it is possible to see that the chamber was rectangular. Several elongated stones lie just inside the hole, which were probably lintels for the door. These are only 70cm or so long, so the door would have been typically narrow. The rear of the structure is built into the bank making it almost invisible from the field above.
The streamside position is quite idyllic, but the site is at the base of a very damp and boggy field which means the river bank must be permanently muddy.
