You don't see this stone when driving from Glantane East NE (County Cork) to Knocknakilla (County Cork) because it's over your right shoulder and behind you before you get chance to look. However, driving the other way you can't help but see it. Very nice!
Standing on a west facing slope it offers a very nice view of the mounatins all around. It is about 1.6m tall and rectangular in section. It has a certain elegence to it that's hard to quantify. I think it is just its proportions are so well balanced. It was also a very nice spot to watch the orange-ing sun finally dip behind the mountains to the west.
