Visit Notes

Sunday, 30th November 2003

Two ogham stones have been built into the fabric of this church. The easiest one to locate is in the east wall layed horizontally below the east window. The inscription seems unreadable, but one reference to it states that McAllister read it as "TASEGAGNI [MAQ]I MUCOI MACORBO" and notes that both stones include 'AGNI'.

The second stone (which I did not know was present when I visited, but noticed it myself, only to find that someone else had already spotted it) also lies horizontally, but near to ground level to the east of the north door.
