Visit Notes

Sunday, 21st September 2003

This site is labelled as 'Standing Stones' on the OS map, so it sounded quite interesting. In reality it's just confusing.

A short, ovoid standing stone can definitely be spotted from the road, but why 'Standing Stones'? Surely they can't mean that little thing (20cm high)!?

It was raining hard and the field was very boggy so I decided not to attempt a closer look, it didn't seem worth it, not today anyway.
