Situated alongside the coastal road, complete with its own carpark and information board, this is a very visitable site. The structure has undergone some renovation, but the concrete that now holds up the walls is well hidden.
Two large slabs form the roof of the 5m long gallery, the front one resting upon the other.
The site is a bit sterile because it is over maintained. You can't seem to win can you? A site is either too scruffy to fully appreciate or too groomed to maintain an atmosphere.
The tomb points directly at Mizzen Head on the horizon, but at the time of my visit the air was very hazey and so I was denied this sight.
