This low (1.5m tall) standing stone is very square looking. It is placed in some low ground with startling clear views of Slemish (a mountain that was to be a large part of the day for us) to the SSW.

Both Slemish and the nearby wedge tomb ( Goakstown (County Antrim)) do somewhat overshadow this little stone though.

It is Slemish that makes this site worth stopping at. Today I walked down the track alongside the field with this stone in to get a side-on view. It's not much different from that angle, to be honest. The heavy farming in this area has taken away any ambience that this stone may have once had. Luckily the view of Slemish remains.
